What is Brotato: Primal Dread?
It is the second paid DLC for Brotato, released on PC on 2 November 2026. It needs the base game and adds the Jungle map with 20 new waves, 10 new characters, 17 new weapons, 40 new items and the Evolution stat.
How much does Primal Dread cost?
It costs $3.99 (€3.99 / £3.39) on PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store and GOG. You need the base game to play it.
Is Primal Dread on PS5, Xbox or Switch?
Not yet. It is PC-only at launch. Consoles and mobile are planned for early 2027, and no exact date has been announced.
What is the Evolution stat?
Evolution is a new stat you push in one of two directions by picking up drops on the map. Mecha strengthens your weapons with extra stats but brings laser-firing mecha dinosaurs. Mutation can copy your items at random but brings acid-spitting mutant dinosaurs.
Can I turn the DLC off?
Yes. The free Update 1.2 adds Item Sets, a menu on the character selection screen that switches each DLC and free update on or off.
